At Faith Baptist Church, we practice close communion weekly and desire for any Christian who meets the following criteria to join us. We believe that only Christians 1) who have professed faith in Christ, 2) who have been baptized by immersion, and 3) who are members in good standing of an evangelical church should come to the Lord's Table with us.
Question 103 of the Baptist Catechism summarizes our position by asking, "Who are the proper subjects of this ordinance?" It answers, "They who have been baptized upon a personal profession of their faith in Jesus Christ, and repentance from dead works (Acts 2:41, 42)."
We observe communion after the Sunday morning sermon at the close of the meeting. We do use non-alcoholic wine and not grape juice.
Visitors
If you are planning to visit our body and would like to participate in our weekly communion, then we require documentation in advance that you are a member in good standing of an evangelical church and have been immersed on profession of faith. This documentation can be an email or letter from your church. Once we have received this verification , then you may participate in the Lord's supper for a year. After a year, you will need to provide new documentation.

Visitors Who Are Looking for a New Church to Join
- You will be allowed to join the Lord’s table (1) if you have left the other church under good terms (not justly excommunicated or without meeting with the leadership) and (2) if it has been less than one year since you left the previous church.
- To show that you were members in good standing, you would need to share documentation (email, letter, etc) from your previous church.
- After attending our church for six months, you would have to join our church as a member to continue receiving communion.
